Grimlock Ink Art

This Grimlock ink drawing was a commission for a Transformers fan, featuring this famous fictional character of the franchise. It was sketched with pencil on watercolor and then drawn on with a calligraphy pen. Keeping much of the figure in black and white makes elements like the weapon and glasses pop. The more solid black spots add depth, while the quick, sharp diagonal movement of the lines feels angular and dynamic, while allowing for precise edges with sharp contrasts.
